Privacy Policy
Sonar is operated by Edet Intelligence and DTech Development, New Orleans, Louisiana. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
What we collect

The corridor signals in the platform are compiled from public records and published sources — permits, agendas, filings and similar. They are about companies and projects, not about you.
Cookies and tracking
This marketing site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. There is no third-party script on this page. Nothing here profiles you or follows you elsewhere.
Our web server does keep an access log, as web servers do. It records the page requested, the time, the response code, the page you arrived from if your browser sent one, your browser's user-agent string, and your IP address. We use it to count page views and see which sources send us visitors. We do not group it by IP address and we do not count "unique visitors" — the reports we run cannot tell one person's visits from another's. These logs are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted automatically.
The platform itself sets one essential cookie to keep you signed in, and stores your saved pursuits in your own browser. Both are required for it to work; neither is used for advertising.
Who else sees it
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We use a small number of providers to run the service:
- Postmark — delivers our email (verification, password resets, alert digests, and our internal notification when you request a demo).
- Our hosting provider — runs the servers and stores the database and its backups.
- Stripe — processes payment if you become a paying customer. Card details go to Stripe directly; we never receive or store them.
- Anthropic — powers the optional AI assistant. Questions you type there are sent to it to generate an answer.
- Your browser's speech service — only if you choose to use the microphone button to ask a question by voice. In Chrome and Edge the recording is sent to Google's speech servers to be transcribed; the text comes back to your browser and is then handled exactly like a typed question. Sonar never receives, processes or stores the audio, and the microphone is never active unless you press the button. Reading text aloud is different — that happens entirely on your own device and nothing is transmitted.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Where it is held, and for how long
Data is stored and backed up on servers in the United States, operated on our behalf by our hosting provider. Backups are taken every six hours and retained for about a week, and an encrypted copy is held with two independent storage providers so a single failure cannot lose your data. The off-site copies are encrypted before they leave our server, so those providers hold data they cannot read.
- Demo requests — kept for up to 24 months so we can follow up, then deleted.
- Account data — kept while the account is open, and deleted within 90 days of it closing unless we must keep records for legal or accounting reasons.
- Security logs and web-server access logs — kept for up to 12 months, then rotated away automatically.
How it is protected
- Everything travels over HTTPS.
- Passwords are stored as one-way hashes and can't be read back, by us or anyone else.
- Two-factor authentication is available on every account.
- Access inside the platform is limited by role, and privileged actions are logged.
- Backups run automatically and have been tested by restoring them.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy. If you asked for a demo and would rather we forgot you, say so and we will remove the record. Email admin@dtechdevelopment.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to certain processing, or to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Sonar is a business tool and is not directed at anyone under 16. We don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell account holders directly if the change is significant.
