Terms of Service — Sonar

Terms of Service

Last updated 31 July 2026

These terms cover your use of Sonar, operated by Edet Intelligence and DTech Development of New Orleans, Louisiana ("we", "us"). By using the platform or requesting a demo, you agree to them.

What Sonar is

Sonar compiles public records — permits, agendas, filings and similar published sources — into early signals about capital projects in the Louisiana industrial corridor, and scores them so you can see which are worth pursuing.

Sonar tells you where to look. It does not tell you what will happen. Signals are interpretations of public information. A signal is not a commitment by anyone to build anything, not a guarantee that a project will proceed, proceed on that schedule, or reach the value shown — and not a guarantee that you will win work. Verify anything you are about to act on. We are not liable for decisions you make from what you read here.

Accounts

What you may and may not do

Your subscription grants your organisation a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Sonar for its own business purposes, for as long as the subscription is active. You may use and export data through the interface and the API for that purpose.

You may not:

Who owns what

We own the platform, the signal database, the scoring methodology and everything we publish in it. Your subscription is a licence to use it — it does not transfer ownership.

You keep ownership of anything you put in, such as your saved pursuits and alert rules. You grant us only the permission needed to operate the service for you.

Plans, payment and cancellation

Availability

We work to keep Sonar available and correct, but we provide it "as is" and without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service unless we have separately agreed a service level with you in writing.

Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost business, or work you did not win. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before it arose.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Ending it

You may cancel at the end of your term. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached, or if fees go unpaid. On termination your right to use Sonar stops; export anything you want to keep beforehand. We will delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

Privacy

How we handle personal information is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will tell account holders before it takes effect. Continuing to use Sonar after that means you accept the change.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, United States, and the courts of Orleans Parish have jurisdiction — unless a signed agreement between us says otherwise.

Note for review. These terms describe how the platform actually works today and are a starting point — not legal advice. Have a lawyer review them before relying on them commercially, especially the liability limits, the licence scope, and how they sit alongside the Edet Intelligence / DTech partnership agreement.
